Wren House is a residential project designed and completed by Chris Pardo Design: Elemental Architecture in Missoula, Montana. It was built with sustainability in mind, for the homeowner and his family have a deep respect for the environment. Boasting several unique sustainable features, the freshly built dwelling requires very little energy and heating. The structure features two levels and a roof terrace that allows the family to enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding hills. The street façade seems a little bit rigid, giving you the feeling that the interior is barely lit. In reality it’s just a good way to add a sense of privacy. Light and warmth play a very important role in the house’s design. The sunlight gently enters through the floor-to-ceiling windows, oriented towards the courtyard. The house’s biggest asset is definitely the roof terrace, where one can enjoy peacefully the enchanting sight.
